AFL

I was watching TV on Saturday with my Dad, and I was flicking through the channels in the ads and we found a new TV channel called Sommet Sports and AFL was on. It was about half way through the game when I changed the channel. AFL is a series like superugby  but it is not superugby though. My favourite teams in the competition are Fremantle Dockers and the Brisbane Lions.

I wanted to watch the Crusaders and the Chiefs game on Saturday night but instead I watched AFL   on Sommet Sport. The rules of the game that I know of are you can bounce the ball and throw it to your team mate and then volleyball hit it. There are 4 goal posts on each side of the field and if you kick it through the middle one that is 6 points and if you kick it into the left one you get 1 point and i'm not sure if you get for a score. Instead of the field being rectangle it is a circle which is weird. Instead of being 40 minutes each half it is 20 minutes of playing then another one more 20 minutes of playing then it would be another break and then another 20 minutes of playing then another 20 minutes playing then that would be the game over. It’s a mix of soccer rugby and i'm not too sure but i think that it is basketball and volleyball too.

I was watching it all by myself but Dad watched a bit with me but not much though.  I wanted the Fremantle Dockers too win. I was going for Fremantle Dockers and not for the Adelaide Crows which were in 12th place on the points table and the Fremantle Dockers were 5th place  on the points table.

I hadn't seen or watched AFL before but I heard about it though when my Dad came back from Australia in Western Australia and he was in Perth a he was telling me about it but he didn't see it though but he heard all about it and he said all the Aussies are crazy and most of them are into it   AFL over there said Dad.

I think I will keep on watching Sommet sports on tv. From now on and keep on watching AFL on that channel and see what else is on that channel. I like watching AFL because it’s something  different to rugby and soccer and its got 4 goal posts on each side of the field and the field is a  circle instead of a rectangle.

All Blacks vs Roosters

I was going to watch the All blacks first test match   of the season. They   were playing at  Eden park in Auckland at  their home stadium . They were playing against the French Roosters.

The new captain for the All Blacks is not  Richie Mccaw this year it is Kieran Read and before they asked Dan Carter if he wanted to be captain for the All Blacks but he didn't want to be because he has got other things on his mind I think probably    . So the vice captain is Dan Carter so if Kieran Read is not there or he is injured Dan Carter will be captain then.

As I was saying the All Blacks were playing against the French Roosters. So this is how the All Blacks lined up at their  positions 1 was Wyatt   Crockett 2 Dane coles 3 i don't know 4 Luke Romano 5 i'm not sure who is number 5 6 i think is Kieran Read 7 was Sam Cane 8 kieran read i think 9 Aaron Smith  . Number 10 was Aaron Cruden 11 i'm not sure who was number 11 and I can’t remember who that was and I can remember who was 23 and it was Rene Ranger .

Then the game started and the roosters got kick off at eden park in Auckland. The All Blacks didn't score first the french roosters scored with a try and the goal kicker for the french roosters go the conversion so it was 7 to nil.  The French roosters were winning then the All Blacks struck  back with a penalty kick. Aaron Cruden missed it so it was once  again 7 to nil and so the french kept attacking the All Blacks but the All Blacks defence was excellent for defence against the french.    Then Aaron Cruden got another penalty kick and he missed it again and so the french kept on attacking then the  All Blacks got another shot at goal and Aaron cruden got another penalty kick and he got it this time and I was thinking finally he got one for the All Blacks. It was 7 to 3 then the french turned over the ball. They were on the attack once  again and so the roosters were putting pressure on the All Blacks and the roosters passed the  ball then the All Blacks interested the ball  off the french roosters when they passed the   Adidas ball and the person who intersected was Ma'a Nonu and passed to Aaron Cruden and Aaron Cruden passed to Aaron Smith and Aaron Smith scored the try so it was 8 to 7.  The All Blacks were in the lead for the first time and Aaron cruden was coming up to do the conversion and Aaron Cruden just missed the conversion and so it was 8 to 7  Then the French got a penalty kick and the French got the conversion kick and the french score now was 10 to 8 at the break.    so the French were winning at the break. Start of the second half the All Blacks had kick off and Aaron Cruden drop kicked the Adidas ball.

The Adidas ball is a bit firmer than the Gilbert ball that they  use in super rugby and the teams in super rugby are Blues, Crusaders , hurricanes , Highlanders, kings ,stormers, cheetahs , brumbies, Reds ,Bulls, sharks , rebels , western  force  and two  other team that i can't think of. We were   away we were and for the second half and the All blacks  we running to stop the french roosters and the All blacks scored the first points in the first half and so the score was 13 to 10.  The try was scored by Sam Cane and Aaron Cruden got the conversion and so it was 15 to 10. Then the French came back with a penalty kick and the kicker for the French Roosters got the penalty kick and it was 13 to 15 then I think the the All Blacks scored a try and the score now was 20 to 13 and Aaron Cruden and  missed the conversion kick and so it was 20 to 13.  No one scored for 20 minutes then it was into the last minute and it was in the  79 minutes and right on full time the All Blacks got a penalty kick and Aaron Cruden got the penalty kick and the score was at full  time was 23 to 13 and that was full time at Eden park in Auckland. Caving

Squeezing my way through the caves,feeling a bit nervous in to the first cave  , having to squeeze my legs up to my stomach. When I first did the first cave i was a bit nervous about it. Back to the cave that i was squeezing through. when i was in the cave i could taste  a bit of dust and it was quite dirty inside the caves and it was dirty a naf to get lots of dirt on you.i had  to push and balance all my weight on my right leg In the cave that i had to squeeze myself and bring my legs up to my chest but more likely to my   stomach .

There was some spiders and wetas crawling along and hoping i think that  i don't see them and i saw the wetas everywhere in the caves. the wetas some of the wetas where big and had big legs and some were little and some were medium sized wetas and the wetas tops of their  legs locked to me that they were pointy and sharp but they wouldn't be that sharp if they were sharp .

 In one of the caves I saw a spider that looked like a wolf spider but i wasn't sure if it was a wolf spider or not or a different type of spider it had the color of a wolf spider because it was gray like a wolf spider but i'm pretty sure that it was a wolf spider.  The spider was a medium sized spider that was a blackis and greyis color plus it looked like it had a bit of white in the black and gray as  well.

I could see bits of the rocks starting to crumble away plus  starting to go all soft and  i could just touch it and it would just fall away back to  the ground. There was some ladders that you had to climb down it a cliff and they didn't locked  that strong and it had some rust that you could see and feel to when you go down the ladder and the ladder locked that it had been there for millions of years.

Fish of Maui

Maui is pretending to be asleep so he can sneakily listen to his brothers. They are saying they are going fishing in the morning, without Maui because they are jealous of his powers. When the brothers are asleep, Maui slips out of bed and hides in the bottom  of the waka’ and waited for them to paddle him to their destination but the  trickster was coming with them. And his four brothers were in shock when they saw Maui. And then Maui commanded his four brothers to keep paddling until  his brothers begged and begged for Maui to stop. But  Maui was not  satisfied with the fishing spot ‘ and the land was out of sight. And his brothers begged and begged for Maui to stop  but he didn't  one by one his brothers fell asleep. Next morning Maui satisfied with the fishing spot.  For revenge his brothers gave him no bait so he struck himself on the nose with the jawbone of his ancestors and swang the jawbone around his head and let it go like a spear.  The bone struck wood and locked in the arm of a carving Maui on the other side of the jawbone did not know that the jawbone was snared on the tekoteko which was rooted deep in the back of a giant being and Maui didn't know that . Maui was not landing a fish like he thought but fishing a land.Maui tugged and tugged and Maui wrenched and Maui tried hard so he   heaved and he strained every muscle in his body. The bottom of the sea Maui saw  something’ it was beginning to stir’ above’  Maui chanted  karakia then what Maui was fishing began to rise to the surface Maui braced himself the ocean churn and boil then Maui started to pull on the line. His brothers were terrified and made no move to help their brother Maui’ and they clung the bucking craft. The fish was thrashed in fury’ the fish is strength was not as strong as Maui’s strength’ then the fish ballooned to the surface. Then Maui saw how big the fish was the tail  stretched to the far north and his head was in the far south. Maui told his brothers to not touch him while  I am gone. The fish was smooth and flat I do not want it him damaged replied Maui. But the moment Maui was out of site his four brothers began to hack out their share and used the paddles. Maui’s brothers hit and hit the big fish and sliced into the fish’s flesh . In no time Maui looked at the fish and  the fish was jagged from Maui’s brothers from hitting it with the paddles and it was valleys  and ranges. The fish of Maui was now a rugged land. You may have visited the North island or be living on it. It is the north island of New Zealand .doesn’t it look like a battered stingray ?
